Netizens reacted to the surprising news.
BLACKPINK‘s Rosé almost deleted her new song because of fears about the inspiration.
On October 18, Rosé released her song “APT.” with Bruno Mars.
In an interview with Vogue, Rosé explained that the song was inspired by her favorite Korean drinking game, Apartment. Yet, the inspiration behind the song worried her, as she explained, “I remember going home [from the studio] kind of freaked out. Is this OK, that I’ve written a song about a drinking game?”
Rosé then added that after those feelings, she asked her team to delete the song from their phones, but by then, they were obsessed with the song.
When the article was posted online, netizens couldn’t get over the idol’s adorable worries, but some acknowledged her feelings and why she might be worried. Others pointed out that the game was played a lot when they were younger, adding that it doesn’t always necessarily have to involve drinking.
- Rosé is so adorable, haha.
- We used to do it in school too, haha.
- It’s not a drinking game, haha. We did it in elementary school.
- In foreign countries, there are so many songs about sex, so what’s the big deal about drinking or games…
- So cute, hahaha.
- Hahaha, so cute.
- In Korea, people criticize and bring it up whenever it’s related to drinking shows, so I get why they’re worried. It’s been on the hot topics on Theqoo several times, and we all criticized it together.
Netizens are already obsessed with the song, and many will be glad it wasn’t deleted.
