Singer Brenton Wood, best acknowledged for his 1967 hit “The Oogum Boogum Observe,” has died, TMZ has realized.
Wood’s supervisor and assistant, Manny Gallegos, confirmed the data to TMZ, revealing he handed away instantly at his Moreno Valley, California residence, surrounded by household and buddies.
As of now, his purpose for his lack of life has not been revealed.
Born Alfred Jesse Smith, he adopted the stage title Brenton Wood, and made a career for himself on the soul scene alongside along with his distinctive mixture of R&B and pop.
He racked up a string of hits throughout the ’60s and ’70s, along with the favored tunes, “Gimme Little Sign” and “Youngster You Obtained It.”
Brenton was 83.
