2022 was a year where a lot of things happened in the K-Pop scene. From departure, disbandment and hiatus, many groups also made their debut, some being really successful. If you are curious to learn about the groups which have made their debut in 2022, find out more below.

Kpopmap has noticed that there are many groups confirmed to make their debut in 2023. Stay tuned to this article to find out who they are and when they will debut.

 

Modhaus

TripleS is a new group under MODHAUS that will establish the world’s first fan-participating girl group. They are expected to be a 24-member group that combines NFTs with K-Pop. They will rotate members between the group and sub-units all based on fans’ opinions. They have been said to debut in 2023. The TripleS sub-unit Acid Angel from Asia made its debut on Oct. 28. Their second sub-unit +(KR)ystal Eyes will be the next debut followed by a 10-member sub-unit. The group finally made their debut on February 13.

THE7 is a new group under Ganada Entertainment. The Thai members of the group were selected through a survival show. The group debuted on January 29.

KQ Fellaz is a pre-debut group signed under KQ Entertainment. The agency announced the members of their pre-debut group last August 2022. They are said to be scheduled to debut on the first half of 2023.

Update: SM Entertainment announced that they will be debuting RIIZE on September 4. They boy group will be debuting with 7 members, including former NCT members Shotaro and SungChan.

Fantagio has announced that they aiming to debut their new group, LUN8, on the first half of this year. The label has revealed 8 trainees who will be debuting: Ian, JunWoo, Takuma, JinSu, EunSeop, Chael, Ji EunHo, and DoHyun.

Mnet is forming a boy group through “Boys Planet”, the boy group version of the “Girl’s Planet 999”. The survival idol program will be broadcasting its first episode on February 23. However, the boy group formed after the program yet to be confirmed to be debuting in the same year.

“GIRL’S RE:VERSE” is a idol survival show that aims to create a virtual girl group of 5 members. The survival program has 30 participants who dream to debut in a new world of virtual reality. The participants’ names and identities are hidden, which is a fresh concept offered by the survival show. The girl group debuted on May 9.

Update: The “GIRLS RE:VERSE” final debut group has been announced and so has their group name. Their group name will be FE:VERSE and you can read about which idols make up the group in this article.

FANTASY BOYS Official

“Fantasy Boys” or “My Teenage Boys” is an idol survival program to be launched by MBC. This program is the male version of the previous idol survival program “My Teenage Girls”. The program is scheduled to start airing on February 2023. Unlike the group formed in the previous season, the final debut group is likely to work as a short-term project group. The group formed after the program wraps up not yet confirmed to debut within the same year.

The agency has been said to be preparing for the debut of a boy group since the previous year, and it even held an audition program to find the perfect rapper for the said boy group. The boy group is slated to debut in the 1st quarter of 2023.

Update: KOZ Entertainment has announced that their new boy group “BOYNEXTDOOR” is debuting on May 30.

There are no annoucement of the exact date of their debut.

A girl group produced by CDL Entertainment, and co-produced by HYBE Labels Japan is scheduled to debut in 2023. The group was formed from the idol survival program “iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~”. Update: The girl group from audition program “iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~” will be debuting as MOONCHILD, with 5 members – Ruan, Uwa, Anri, Hana, and Mirano. They officially debuted on May 3.
