Lupe Fiasco has announced that he will be dropping a new mixtape next month, but it will only be available in very limited quantities.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chicago MC explained that fans will only be able to acquire the project if they attend his Samurai Tour, with the other caveat that there are only 10 copies available at each concert.
“There’s an exclusive mixtape dropping at the start of the Samurai tour. Only 10 copies available per city. First 10 people to spend over $100 at the merch booth gets a copy,” he wrote.
Lupe has 19 shows scheduled across the U.S. this fall so there will only be 190 copies of the mixtape in circulation.
The tour kicks off on October 3 in New York and wraps up on November 24 in Los Angeles, with stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco and other cities along the way.
The Food & Liquor lyricist also used his latest track “Tickets 2.0” to announce the unique release: “Yo, we gonna drop a mixtape on the tour,” he says on the song’s outro. “There gonna be 10 copies per city. First 10 people to spend over $100 at the merch booth get a copy. That’s it. Move.”

Lupe Fiasco previously used his song “Tickets” to announce his upcoming tour, which comes in support of his latest album Samurai.
The cover art for the track featured a list of dates and cities for the tour, while the lyrics directed fans to where they could grab tickets: “Man, we about to hit the road / Lupe Fiasco dot com slash shows / So click and paste and copy and drop it into your cart / Then come and watch me promptly turn hobby into a heart.”

It is not yet known if Lupe’s new mixtape will be a Child Rebel Soldier release.
In July, he revealed plans to “reboot” the supergroup comprised of himself, Kanye West and Pharrell, albeit as a solo venture where he raps over Radiohead beats.
Lupe kept that promise the following month when he dropped a loosie called “Shrink,” which found him spitting over the British rock band’s classic Kid A instrumental “Optimistic.”
