Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Choi Tae Joon, Yang Hye Ji, And More Showcase Their Unique Characters In New “Iron Family” Poster

KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” has shared a new group poster!

Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy about a family that has run a laundry business for three generations.

The new group poster features Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Park Ji Young, Shin Hyun Joon, Kim Hye Eun, Choi Tae Joon, Yang Hye Ji, Kim Young Ok, Park In Hwan, Wang Ji Hye, and Kim Hyun Jun accompanied by props that highlight their distinctive characters.

In the poster, Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun) is seen holding his cherished lighter, igniting a heart-shaped flame toward Lee Da Rim (Geum Sae Rok), hinting at a fiery romance between the two. Lee Da Rim, who has had a rare illness since she was 14 that progressively narrows her vision, is holding a cane while flashing a bright smile.

Cha Tae Woong (Choi Tae Joon), who acts as Lee Da Rim’s protective older brother, is pointing enthusiastically toward her, while Lee Cha Rim (Yang Hye Ji), a designer at Jiseung Group and Lee Da Rim’s older sister, is highlighted with sewing accessories, sparking further intrigue about their roles.

Go Bong Hee (Park Ji Young), a self-sacrificing mother and the daughter-in-law of the Cheongryeom Laundry family, is holding an iron with pride. Ji Seung Don (Shin Hyun Joon), the cold-hearted chairman of Jiseung Group and Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun)’s adoptive father, is gripping a bundle of money, while his glamorous yet ambitious wife, Baek Ji Yeon (Kim Hye Eun), is shown reaching for money falling from the sky, perfectly capturing their characters’ essence.

Kim Young Ok and Park In Hwan add an element of intrigue with their “shh” pose, concealing a bag of money and hinting at their characters’ secrets. Wang Ji Hye, holding a barbecue grill and tongs, and Kim Hyun Jun, in full police officer gear with handcuffs and a gun, promise to intensify the drama and complexity of the storyline.

The production team commented, “The cast did the poster shoot in a warm, family-like atmosphere. The props reveal hints about how the Da Rim and Jiseung Group families will intertwine. We encourage viewers to enjoy deciphering the meaning behind these props and their relevance to the characters. We hope you look forward to this romantic black comedy.”

“Iron Family” is set to premiere on September 28 at 7:55 p.m. KST.
