[K-Exclusive]: EVNNE’s Captivating North American Debut in Chicago
EVNNE’s inaugural North American tour, “Ride With EVNNE,” made a remarkable entry into the U.S. with its official start in Chicago. This tour, spanning eight dates with six performances across the U.S., marked a significant milestone for the group.
The evening commenced with the dynamic energy of their debut single, “Trouble,” setting the tone for an engaging performance. This was followed by a vibrant contrast with “K.O” and the sweet, melodious “I <3 U (I Love You).” These initial tracks showcased the group’s versatility and ability to shift seamlessly between contrasting musical styles.
The concert’s interactive segment featured a lively Q&A session, during which the members delighted fans with unexpected aegyo and a playful dance cover of KISS OF LIFE’s “Sticky,” STRAY KIDS’ “Chk Chk Boom,” and NCT 127’s “Kick It.,” the latter of which invoked a sense of nostalgia as it was also featured as a unit cover on Boys Planet. Following this, EVNNE performed “Syrup” and “Role Model,” offering yet another shift, this time to a more intense, bass-driven sound that energized the audience.
After a brief interlude and outfit change, the group returned with the English version of their latest release, “Badder Love,” and the debut live performance of “XO,” featuring an infectious hook. The pre-encore segment ended on a dramatic note with “Ugly,” which combined bass-heavy raps with striking choreography, leaving the audience in complete disarray.
The encore was a high-energy affair with “Festa,” known for its playful chorus, and “Jukebox.” Fans were especially enthusiastic towards “Role Model” and “Pretty Thing,” which had become favorites due to their infectious sound and lyrics that allowed fans to sing along. The evening concluded with “Even More,” a softer, sentimental track that provided a poignant contrast to the night’s earlier high-energy performances.
EVNNE’s Chicago concert highlighted their growing talent and charisma. Their ability to captivate and energize the audience left a strong impression, signaling that their journey has just begun. With such an impressive performance, the future looks very promising for them.
