Jimmy Kimmel Rags On “Draft Dodger Don” On D-Day

On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Jimmy Kimmel reminded viewers what former President Trump thinks of veterans.

The day marks the date that Allied forces stormed the beaches of northern France.

Kimmel initially gave “Draft Dodger Don” credit for his “respectful” social media post to mark the date.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Today, we honor the immortal heroes who landed at Normandy 80 years ago. The men of D-Day will live forever in history as among the bravest, noblest, and greatest Americans ever to walk the earth. They shed their blood, and thousands gave their lives, in defense of American Freedom. They are in our hearts today and for all time”.

Kimmel said that he agreed with the above and “would even be somewhat moved by” the post, had it not been for the fact that 12 hours prior, he wrote, “What I’ve gone through, no one has ever gone through…I have been under siege!”

It comes as President Biden was in Normandy to remember the veterans.

Kimmel also pointed out one of the consequences of Trump being a convicted felon. There are 37 countries he’s not allowed to visit and he’s also not allowed to carry a concealed weapon.

“It’s pretty crazy, a guy who’s not allowed to carry a concealed weapon, would be allowed to carry a nuclear weapon,” joked Kimmel. “This is like your parents saying, ‘you know what, you can’t have a puppy, but if you get good grades, we’ll buy you a werewolf’.”

Trump has previously said that he had a concealed carry permit and owned two handguns.

“Now, if he wants to shoot someone on Fifth Avenue, he’s going to have to do it with a crossbow,” he added.
