BTS’s Jin Speaks Out Against Capitalism, Urging Fans Not To Buy Excessive Albums

When our favorite K-Pop artist has a comeback, we’re often tempted to purchase many albums, as companies release multiple versions of the same album. This can consist of variations of inclusions, from the concept in the photobook to different photocards and more. Especially when it’s your ult, it’s hard not to want to collect it all. Yet, the cost adds up, as albums can range from $25-$50 USD on average.

In the case of BTS‘s Jin, he just released his first solo album, Happy. There are three versions, as well as the Weverse Album version. This does not include the fact that different stores have different photocard exclusives.

On the day of release, Jin held a comeback live broadcast, unboxing his album.

Of course, with Jin, it was a fun but chaotic unboxing.

Yet, his words left many ARMYs shocked and somewhat called out. Jin told viewers they could purchase all three versions of his album if they wanted but joked that “we’re not that rich,” so it’s unnecessary.

ARMYs joked that Jin really “knows his audience,” and he must know most of us haven’t saved for BTS’s reunion tour yet.

Jin and Suga are both anti-capitalist at heart! Jin has always been on ARMY’s side concerning merch prices. Read more below.
