Social Media Reacts To Will Smith’s Rap Flow In Viral Video

For the second time this year, Will Smith brought his movie energy to booth and dropped bars in a rap verse. At least, that’s what social media is chattin’ about this weekend after his new video went viral.

In June, Willard had Kirk Franklin join him on the BET Awards stage to perform his song, ‘You Can Make It.’ The song is a gospel meets rap meets motivational ballad, and the performance also featured Fridayy and the Sunday Service Choir. It was all the talk on social media afterward, too, especially Black Twitter.

Now, Will Smith is giving his fans a lil’ reminder of how he can go bar for bar and rap! He started off November by reminding everyone he’s from Philly, can’t be clowned, and is still plugged in while in his hometown. In his Instagram caption, he tagged Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, and said his version is a ‘Team Tomodachi’ remix. He did the same thing on YouTube.

Meanwhile, the video itself shows outside and inner views of Will Smith riding around in a whip, wearing a red leather jacket and dark pants.

Maybe it’s a spooky season trick? Willard hasn’t said yet whether he was cosplaying Yuki or not, but you can listen to his flow below:

“Okkkk Big Willie ate that lil one two,” @onairkeke wrote.

“Will made a lot of know about Philly before we knew about Philly since the 90s,” @los_langelo said.

@ricocash1of1 left an outta pocket comment that said: “He shoulda dropped this after he slapped Chris rock, the world woulda went crazy.”

“All these bread butter! Yeah, quit sleeping on Will. He gave us hip-hop’s first Grammy. This man is 55 years old, rapping better than people 30 years younger than him,” @roycesrant said.

“It’s a whole generation who never even knew Will Smith was a rapper,” @saturdayshay added.
