Autumn Crittendon‘s cause of death has finally been revealed.
As we previously reported in July, the 27-year-old star of MTV‘s 16 & Pregnant passed away. You may remember her from season five of the show, where it followed her story of giving birth to her eldest son, Drake. She went on to have two more kids — a daughter named Abigail and a son named Luke.

At the time of her death, the reality TV personality’s sister Misty broke the news on Facebook. She told the story of ambulances, lots of panicking from the whole family, and even a futile attempt to revive Autumn. So, so sad. Her passing hit so suddenly and unexpectedly, it left her family and fans alike in shambles. And now, we sadly know why…
According to what the Virginia Department of Health reported via TMZ, the young mom of three died toxicity from fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl — the latter being a synthetic opioid that’s a lot more potent than fentanyl itself. It was a combination of these two drugs that caused Autumn to suffer a tragic overdose. As of right now her death is still under investigation, but it has been ruled an accident.
Such a heartbreaking end to Autumn’s story. She was far, far too young. Our hearts go out to her loved ones, especially her children who lost their mother.
