Fans Furious As BIGHIT MUSIC Repeatedly Damages BTS J-Hope’s Listening Party

“I’m genuinely asking is BTS team burnt out?”

On March 29, BTS‘s J-Hope released his new album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, which includes six new songs from the idol and features artists such as fellow member JungkookLE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin, and Benny Blanco, among others. The album was released despite J-Hope’s ongoing military enlistment, but fans were still excited to get new music from the beloved artist.

People are less excited, however, about how BIGHIT MUSIC has been promoting the album. Fresh on the heels of being criticized for their blunders in promoting V‘s recent single, “FRI(END)S”, the label seems to be once again dropping the ball when it comes to properly promoting the BTS members’ individual work.

A listening party was held for HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 as part of the promotions for the album. However, while there was supposed to be a link to purchase one of the songs on the album, “NEURON”, instead there was a link for something unrelated to J-Hope’s music.

After an hour of fans complaining, which is a long time for such an error to be unfixed, the link was finally changed.

And that wasn’t the only mistake that fans noticed for J-Hope’s album promotions. The original post for the listening parties for HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 had the wrong dates and times…

And it took a whole nine hours for the post to be fixed, with a brief apology from BIGHIT MUSIC.

For a label as prominent and wealthy as BIGHIT MUSIC has become — thanks mostly to the hard work of BTS’s members over the past decade — it’s frustrating and unbelievable to many fans that mistakes like this would be made.

The issue was recently shared as the topic of an online forum post, and the comments were filled with disappointed and furious ARMYs.

We hope that these mistakes didn’t have too much of a negative impact on J-Hope’s album release, and that they won’t be an issue for BTS’s members’ future musical endeavors.
